Use-of-Winches

The use of vehicle borne winches, and hand operated winch’s, can be of great asset to operatives working in the field. However, there are a number of risk factors and safety considerations that must be taken into account when operating vehicle borne winches.

We therefore offer a One Day training course, leading to an Assessment of Competence. This qualification can be added to the Off-Road Driving qualification which must have been obtained first.

The course will include:

• Identifying Components
• Preparation and Use of the Winch
• Moving Obstacles
• Self Recovery
• Winch Maintanace     

NPTC Assessment  is an 1 hour assessment which is conducted independently either at the end of the course or at a time of customers convenience.
